Mallard Cottage is a character cottage of which our regular guests never tire. It has 2 bedrooms sleeping 4 people. 1 double with a pine 4 poster and one with adult sized bunks. It is child friendly but sorry no dogs. Large, well equipped, kitchen with all the usual electric appliances. Lounge/diner has 2 sofas, table and chairs, free sat TV, DVD player with selection of DVDs. Bathroom with shower over bath. Set in the peaceful, rural hamlet of Esk Valley with open views of "Heartbeat" countryside from all windows and the spectacular sight of the NYMR steam trains powering up the line. There are various scenic walks from the back door and a folder of routes provided. All linen and electricity included. Parking. Large garden with a sun shed containing comfortable furniture. Various wildlife.
We've had a great week staying in this lovely cottage. thoroughly enjoyed watching the steam trains. The Yorkshire Moors,the coastal villages and towns are outstanding. nothing too much trouble for Pauline and Peter. Thank you
A beautiful and peaceful stay surrounded by the wonder of nature. To added bonouses, sunshine every day and steam trains. Just like the Railway Children. Wonderful well equipped cottage. Will miss the tranquility.
Absolutely fabulous week and the weather so good for us. Everything we could ask for in a very homely cottage. Just what the Doctor ordered.
